The Opportunity
In this creative and strategic role, you'll bring AMA's stories to life—connecting emotionally with members while supporting organizational priorities. As a Content Producer, you'll lead the production of some of AMA's flagship storytelling platforms, including the 'This is AMA' video series and AMA's sustainability-focused podcast.
Working as part of the Corporate Communications Content team, you'll source compelling member and employee stories, oversee audio and video production, and contribute to written and digital content across external and internal channels. Through strong editorial judgment, creative vision, collaboration, and a deep understanding of audience needs and how to reach them, you'll help shape AMA's long-term content direction while ensuring all storytelling reflects the AMA brand.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead multimedia content production for AMA's storytelling platforms, including the This is AMA video series and AMA podcasts.
- Produce brand videos by sourcing members and employees, conducting interviews, coordinating shoots, and working with internal teams and external videographers or editors.
- Lead podcast production, including content planning, guest booking, interview recording, story editing, and collaboration with audio editors.
- Ensure all multimedia content aligns with AMA's brand voice, quality standards, and content strategy.
- Identify opportunities to continuously improve and evolve content based on audience needs and performance insights.
- Report on content impact and success to support organizational goals.
- Contribute to external content across platforms, including web articles, digital stories, print features, and social content.
- Collaborate with Corporate Communications leadership, the content team, and business units to identify and develop new storytelling opportunities.
- Coordinate with channels such as social media and AMA Insider Magazine to extend content reach.
- Support AMA's internal content strategy through employee storytelling, including articles, staff profiles, and organizational updates.
- Explore and develop new internal storytelling formats such as staff-focused podcasts or video series.
What You Bring to the Table
- College diploma or university degree in communications, journalism, broadcasting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in content production, journalism, multimedia storytelling, or a similar role.
- Experience producing video and/or audio content; photography and video shooting/editing skills are an asset.
- Strong writing, script development, interviewing, and narrative development skills across multiple platforms.
- Experience with podcast production or long-form storytelling is an asset.
- Understanding of content strategy, audience needs, and digital best practices, including web content development and search optimization.
- Working knowledge of video production and editing software is an asset.
