Job Description: The diabetes Nurse Educator will assist in the development, organization, implementation and evaluation of specific educational needs and services for people with diabetes who have been referred to the Diabetes Education Center.
Human Resources Exemption: No
Experience

  • 3 years experience as an RN in an emergency or critical care environment
  • Experience with planning, implementation, quality monitoring and evaluation.
  • Previous experience in nursing education is required

Education

  • Masters of Continuing Education
  • Critical Care Nursing certificate (CCN)
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN)

Licenses

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor Certificate (ACLS)
  • Registered Nurse (RN)

Other Education and Training

  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
