Junior Designer

Casper Canada is a leading sleep company that was initially launched in the US in 2014 with one perfect mattress that was sold directly to consumers. Its line of obsessively engineered sleep products has expanded to include sheets, pillows, bed frames, and even a dog bed. In 2023, Casper Canada joined Sleep Country Canada's family of brands. 

As a Junior Designer, you'll support the Creative team in bringing the Casper brand to life across a range of digital and print channels. You'll work closely with other members to execute designs that are visually compelling, accessible, on-brand, and strategically aligned with marketing goals. You'll assist in developing assets for campaigns, web, social, and retail, while learning from and collaborating with designers, copywriters, and marketers.

This is a hybrid position 

What You'll Do:

• Create high-quality assets for digital ads, social media, web, email, retail, and print.
• Translate concepts and briefs into thoughtful, cohesive designs that align with Casper's visual identity and marketing goals.
• Collaborate with Creative team members and cross-functional partners (content, marketing, and eCommerce) to ensure creative consistency and timely delivery.
• Maintain brand standards and help apply existing brand systems across projects and touchpoints.
• Participate in brainstorms, reviews, and team discussions to learn and contribute ideas.
• Manage multiple assignments and meet project deadlines with support from senior team members.
• Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas of growth & opportunity.
• Support in-house production, including photoshoots.
• Stay up to date on design trends and emerging tools, bringing fresh inspiration to the team.

Who You Are:

• University/College Degree in Graphic Design, Fine arts or related discipline would be an asset
• Must have 1–3 years of experience in a design role.
• Must have a Portfolio showcasing strong foundational design skills and creative potential.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and Figma.
• Experience or interest in motion graphics and photo editing is considered an asset.
• Solid understanding of design fundamentals, including layout, typography, and composition.
• Eager to learn and receptive to feedback from other Creative team members & leadership.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow creative direction while maintaining high visual standards.
• Comfortable working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• Must have strong time management skills and a proactive attitude when tackling new challenges.
• A creative thinker who's passionate about growing as a designer and contributing to a brand with purpose.

Additional Information

This is a current open position.  The salary range for this position is $53,000 - $65,000 annually.  Actual salary for the role may vary depending on work location of the successful candidate and other factors including but not limited to, skills, education, experience, working conditions and the local labour market.
