POSITION SUMMARY
The Custom Cabinet Maker position is responsible for ensuring custom millwork components are constructed in an efficient, systematic fashion meeting client and Archmill Standards. They will produce quality millwork to specifications as per blueprints and replicate past designs using hand tools and woodworking machines in a manufacturing environment. This position requires expertise in working with various tools, materials, and techniques to produce unique and functional cabinetry solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Interpret design plans and specifications to determine materials, dimensions, and construction methods required for custom cabinetry projects.
- Select and prepare materials, such as hardwood, plywood, and veneers, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements.
- Operate woodworking tools and machinery, including saws, routers, drills, planers, and sanders, to shape, cut, join, and finish materials accurately.
- Fabricate and assemble custom cabinets, ensuring precise measurements, tight joints, and seamless finishes.
- Apply appropriate woodworking techniques, such as joinery, routing, and shaping, to achieve desired design elements and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with clients, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements, offer suggestions, and provide updates on progress.
- Ensure fittings and other components are of good quality.
- Attach fittings and other components to finished cabinetry.
- Ensure excellent fit, finish and operability.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment.
- Report out daily log of tasks on Timesheets
- Contribute and participate in the effective use of the Quality Control System.
- Construct and finish cabinetwork and assorted products from rough schematics and blueprints.
- Use of proper Personal Protective Equipment is required.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop, ensuring tools, equipment, and materials are properly stored and maintained for safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive experience (at least 4-5 years) in custom cabinet making, preferably in a professional woodworking or carpentry environment.
- Knowledge of glass assembly (UV bonding) and metalwork
- Experience in handling plexiglass material, would be a great asset
- Proficiency in working with various woodworking tools and machinery, including table saws, routers, jointers, and sanders.
- Excellent knowledge of different wood species, their characteristics, and appropriate usage in cabinetry construction.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, joinery methods, and craftsmanship principles to ensure high-quality finished products.
- Ability to read and interpret design plans, technical drawings, and specifications accurately.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on precision and craftsmanship, ensuring accuracy in measurements, cuts, and assembly.
- Problem-solving skills to overcome challenges in design implementation and project execution.
- Effective time management and organizational skills to meet project deadlines and manage multiple projects concurrently.
- Physical stamina and strength to handle heavy materials and operate machinery safely.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with clients, designers, and team members.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Required to work in a manufacturing environment which contains loud noises.
- Hours of work – Monday to Friday from 7:00am-3:45pm.
- Required to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
- Must be able to lift and carry objects >35lbs.
- Required to remain standing for extended periods of time.
