Egg Farmers of Canada is presently seeking an Accounting Coordinator, Inventory to join our Finance Team. Reporting to the Senior Finance Manager and under the direction of the Finance Supervisor, the Accounting Coordinator, Inventory is responsible for performing the accounting activities for the Industrial Products Program (IPP) declarations. The primary responsibilities of the role include maintaining accurate records with respect to sales, purchases, invoicing, reconciling inventory declarations and trade discounts, and generating reports and conducting data analysis.
This position is ideally suited for someone with 1 to 3 years of experience in an accounts payable or accounts receivable role who enjoys methodical work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties and responsibilities:
Industrial Products Program (IPP) Administration
- Maintain accurate records with respect to sales, purchases, invoicing and inventories
- Process customer claims, which includes preparing credit notes, revising costs and adjusting invoices
- Generate stock status report to reconcile declaration inventory on a weekly basis, ensuring inventory declared is sold
- Calculate eligible trade discount credits
- Apply complex pricing to invoice purchase and sales
- Identify discrepancies in declarations to the IPP Logistics Specialist
- Prepare quarterly reconciliation of decentralized IPP
Other Administrative Activities
- Create and generate various reports as needed and demonstrate the ability to understand and provide feedback and analysis on data
- Correspond with various stakeholders through email, telephone, and virtual/face-to-face meetings
- Provide back-up support for the Accounts Payable Coordinators (Administration and Pooled Income Fund) as required

Qualifications and Skills
- Knowledge of standardized work methods, processes and approaches related to office coordination and administration
- Understanding of general accounting principles
- Ability to multi-task, take initiative and be results-oriented
- Mathematical and/or accounting skills
- Ability to interact effectively with a variety of stakeholders and work as part of a team
- Ability to coordinate the execution and timing of multiple activities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel), and ability to use various software applications. Experience with Tableau and MS Dynamics Great Plains or a similar ERP software would be an asset.
- Strong writing skills with the ability to read and understand financial documents (e.g. financial statements, reviewing budget and accounting activities/procedures, invoices)
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
Education and Experience:
- Minimum 1 year post-secondary training in accounting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 – 3 years experience in an accounting role with similar responsibilities
Working Conditions:
- A standard workweek schedule working in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
- Frequent interactions with vendors and stakeholders
- Position requires prolonged periods of sitting, use of a computer, and close attention to detail
- Position involves access to sensitive information, requiring discretion and confidentiality
