We are currently looking for a Maintenance Planner to join our team
Responsible for making tools and parts are available to complete work orders, and scheduling updating and maintenance in such a way that it minimizes equipment downtime. Additional responsible for maintaining the computerized maintenance management system and generating reports on machines/equipment to justify additional preventive maintenance or justify a machine end of life.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Plan and schedule corrective and preventive maintenance activities by task and priority level
- Schedule contractors for PM's/Repairs as necessary
- Manage spare parts and alignment between the maintenance department and stock room
- Manage work orders, documentation, assets, and inventory within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS)
- Works with maintenance coordinator/manager in ensuring PMs are complete and tracked in the system
- Create and improve predictive maintenance
- Maintain inventory crib areas ensuring a good 5S condition
- Understand basic function and use of tools & parts in inventory
- Familiar with and comfortable around machinery & tools
- Good computer skills and a technical background – proficient with Excel; able to run reports and interpret data
- Responsible for ordering necessary parts & tools including completing ringisho approval request form
- Issuing and assigning purchase requisitions
- Investigate and report metrics on departments performance, and equipment cost of ownership
- Safely operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, as needed
- Inventory/ordering tools for shop toolboxes
- Updating FMDS board
- Obtain quotes
- Complete any necessary reports to demonstrate maintenance department performance
- Support with maintenance helper's duties when helper is absent
- Other duties as necessary
Qualifications
Education
- High school diploma or a G.E.D certificate
- Multiple years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience an asset
- MMP Certification, Bachelor's degree, or diploma in relative field would be an asset
Experience
- 2-4 years of related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience considered an asset
- 1-3 years of technical experience considered an asset

Other
- Must have or be willing to obtain a crane and forklift license
