  • Keyera's Northern Allowance is a tiered incentive program based on years of service, currently offered to employees working at the following locations: Grande Prairie Office, Wapiti, Simonette, Gold Creek, South Cheecham, and Fox Creek Terminal. THE POSITION:

Keyera is currently seeking a Team Lead – Planning & Scheduling to oversee maintenance planning and scheduling for Keyera's Pipelines & Terminals assets. Based out of the Sherwood Park Regional Office, this role is responsible for ensuring work is effectively prepared, prioritized, and executed, working closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Operations to convert work scopes into detailed plans and schedules.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Transform Engineering scopes of work into comprehensive, field-ready work packages, including detailed plans, integrated schedules, and regional resource execution strategies.

  • Act as the primary technical interface between Engineering, Capital Projects, Maintenance, and Operations.

  • Ensure all maintenance work is required, risk-prioritized, and accurately detailed within the CMMS.

  • Own and provide oversight and quality assurance of the Asset Management and Reliability (AMR) workflow across the region.

  • Own regional governance for maintenance readiness, including schedule freeze protocols, change control for break-in work, and application of Ready to Work criteria.

  • Strengthen safe operational readiness by ensuring maintenance work is fully prepared, risk-reviewed, and governed prior to release.

  • Manage daily Service Request reviews and prioritize break-in work, balancing emergency repairs with approved schedules.

  • Provide day-to-day leadership, mentorship, and performance management for Maintenance Planners and the Regional Maintenance Scheduler.

  • Work directly with Craft Leadership and Maintenance Supervision to optimize workflows, eliminate inconsistencies, and promote a proactive, data-driven reliability culture.

  • Field Support: Provide technical leadership and on-site oversight for major maintenance outages, turnarounds, and specialty plant work to minimize production impacts.

  • Lead Line of Defense 1 visits to observe field conditions, build trust, and identify improvement opportunities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

The successful candidate will have strong experience in maintenance planning and scheduling within an operating asset environment and the ability to lead planning and readiness activities across multiple assets.

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling, and readiness within pipelines, terminals, or facilities.

  • Journeyman Trade Certification, Professional Engineer (P. Eng), Supply Chain Management background, or operational experience is considered an asset.

  • Strong understanding of maintenance workflows, asset management, and reliability practices within a CMMS environment.

  • Proven leadership experience providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to planning and scheduling resources.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess risk, priorities, and readiness.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships.

  • Demonstrated alignment with Keyera's Cultural Behaviors and Corporate Values.
