We're looking for our next Wealth Management Associate. Could It Be You?

The Associate will work closely with Associate Portfolio Managers (APMs) / Portfolio Managers (PMs) to support day-to-day operations within Questrade Wealth Management (QWM). They will interact with the Back Office, New Accounts, Customer Services, Marketing, Tech Support, Compliance teams and other groups across the organization on daily operational and analytical tasks and ad hoc projects.

In this role, responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Gaining expert knowledge of QWM's Questwealth Portfolios, the product and its operations.

• Providing day-to-day operational support to APMs / PMs including detailed work in excel and google sheets including calculations, building and updating spreadsheets to track portfolio and market performance. 

• Following up with clients by phone and email – to improve conversions and assist with account maintenance and updates.

• Conducting portfolio research, and pulling information and data from various sources.

• Recording and calculating P&L on errors  using spreadsheets and market data.

• Preparing various business activity reports, mostly in excel.

• Liaising with the Back Office, Compliance, New Accounts, Customer Service etc., to handle requests and inquiries to improve QWM operational performance and efficiency.

• Participating in wealth management meetings and assisting in taking detailed minutes.

• Participating in ad hoc growth and business development projects and initiatives.

• Handling any special projects and/or maintenance tasks as assigned (such as weekly attrition analysis, sector, region, and individual securities analysis).

• Assisting with overdue client documentation updates via phone calls.

• Managing Joint / Corp Investment Management Agreement (IMA) via docusign.

• Managing Pending Client Acceptance / Funded list and other call queues.

So are YOU our next Wealth Management Associate? You are if you…

• Hold a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent)

• Have 2+ years of experience in a relevant role within the financial services industry

• Have a working knowledge of AI and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, Macro, SQL, and Google Suite  

• Have demonstrated problem-solving and analytical skills

• Take directions well while being able to execute independently 

• Have a good understanding of the investment industry and available products 

• Have strong organizational skills and are able to handle multiple tasks independently and provide updates to QWM leadership on a timely basis

• Are detail oriented with ability to input and analyze data accurately 

• Can navigate multiple applications such  i.e. SalesForce, Bloomberg and Morningstar Direct

• Have excellent communication skills with ability to interact professionally with external clients and collaborate with internal stakeholders 

• Are eager to expand wealth management product and industry knowledge 

• Are dedicated to continuous learning and operational improvements

• Possess a strong work ethic and desire to work in a results-oriented, fast-paced environment 

Additional kudos if you…

• Completed or are enrolled in CSC, CPH, and CFA enrollment 

• Have knowledge and/or experience with other financial services 

• Possess AI and other tech skills related to data management

Compensation Information:

• Base salary range: $60,000 - $70,000

• The final compensation package will be commensurate with the successful candidate's experience, skills, and geographic location (Canada). It includes a comprehensive benefits plan and a competitive incentive (bonus) program for Full-Time Permanent roles.
