Engineering at Ada

As an Ada engineer, you'll have the autonomy to make a huge impact and the opportunity to work alongside talented peers who challenge and inspire you. We move fast, take ownership, and always strive to improve, both as individuals and as a team. You will partner with product managers, designers, and machine learning scientists and will be responsible for both building scalable systems and working directly with LLMs. If you're excited to solve complex problems and shape the future of AI-driven customer support, we'd love to hear from you.

Our Role

Our team values a high ownership mindset. As a Senior Engineer, your job is not just to write the code, but to give valuable input on the features we develop and the technical foundations of our systems. You must empathize with our direct customers, and end users who will interact with the AI agents we power, to think about the best ways to solve the problems on our roadmap.

Ada's founding mission was built around making powerful technology easy for non-technical customer support teams to use, a mission that the Training team helps lead today. Consider these questions:

  • How can I get my AI Agent ready to launch as soon as possible?
  • What is the easiest and most effective way to give my AI Agent feedback?
  • How can the experience of managing an AI Agent be made simple?

The Training team works on features that directly impact how an AI manager can successfully launch and improve their AI agent.

About You
  • 5 years of experience as a Software Developer (with a strong preference for Python, JavaScript/TypeScript experience)
  • Experience with databases such as MongoDB, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch and in-memory stores such as Redis
  • Experience working on AI projects with 3rd party LLM providers, such as OpenAI, Azure, Anthropic
  • Experience designing, building, and maintaining APIs for external developers
  • Ability to articulate technical decisions clearly, explaining not just the "what" but the "why" behind architectural choices, trade-offs, and implementation details
  • Proven experience mentoring engineers through code reviews, design discussions, and knowledge-sharing
Outcomes
  • Execute on our ambitious product roadmap by creating and implementing technical designs
  • Active participant in levelling-up our current development practices
  • Champion a high-quality bar on our work by reviewing the team's code, providing insightful feedback, and fostering a collaborative community within the engineering organization
  • Ensure that the team is providing the best AI Agent platform experience by staying close to the customer feedback, internal team pain points and close collaboration with our product and design partners
