Position Overview

The QA Technician is responsible for testing of all products to ensure they meet Cam Tran, customer, and CSA, IEEE quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Test product to ensure it meets all Cam Tran, CSA, IEEE and customer specifications.
  • Prepare test reports as required.
  • Perform type tests as required. Could be performed off hours to not impact production.
  • Assists in trouble shooting failures.
  • Informs the line operators on quality control issues as necessary.
  • Adheres to Cam Tran safety policies and procedures.
  • Prepared required paperwork on a timely basis.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Supervisor or Quality Manager

Requirements

Qualifications
  • Mechanical Engineering Technologist Diploma or relevant experience considered an asset.
  • Knowledge of the product and plant operations.
  • Knowledge of ISO 9000 series standards.
  • Knowledge of regulatory (IEEE/ANSI & CSA Standards) and customer specifications.
Skills
  • Ability to communicate with and provide direction effectively to the line operators.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams.
  • Must be well organized and able to make independent judgments.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
