Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and verify incoming shipments.
- Accurately pick items to fulfill customer orders using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Pack orders securely and efficiently for shipment.
- Stage and load outgoing shipments onto trucks.
- Put away received inventory into designated storage locations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and order pickers (certification may be required).
- Participate in regular inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the distribution center's logistics.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds.
- Proficiency in using RF scanners and basic computer skills.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety standards and the importance of PPE.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliability and punctuality are essential.
- Experience with logistics operations is a plus.
Working Conditions:
This position requires standing, walking, bending, stooping, and lifting for extended periods. The work environment is a busy distribution center that may have varying temperature conditions. All employees must strictly follow safety guidelines and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
