We are hiring Picker/Packers for our bustling distribution center in San Antonio, Texas! This role is fundamental to our daily operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently picked and packed for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, preparing them for shipment, and ensuring that orders are complete and correct. This position requires physical stamina, a sharp eye for detail, and a commitment to speed and accuracy. You will work with various picking technologies, such as RF scanners, and follow established procedures to maintain order integrity. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees are expected to adhere to strict Safety guidelines, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe Lifting techniques. This is a hands-on role where your efficiency directly impacts customer satisfaction and the overall success of our logistics operations. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick customer orders using RF scanners and pick lists.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers.
- Verify order accuracy before packing and shipping.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Meet established productivity and quality standards.
- Identify and report any damaged items or discrepancies.
- Follow all Safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize appropriate PPE, especially during Lifting and handling of goods.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth workflow in the logistics process.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a Picker/Packer or in a warehouse environment is preferred.
- Ability to read and understand pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods and perform frequent Lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with basic Safety procedures in a warehouse setting.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Commitment to wearing required PPE.
