We are seeking a reliable and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Nashville, Tennessee. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise. Your primary goal will be to ensure the smooth flow of goods within our distribution center, contributing to the overall success of our warehouse operations. This position requires a keen eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety protocols. You will work closely with other warehouse associates and supervisors to maintain optimal inventory levels and ensure timely order fulfillment. Your daily tasks will include loading and unloading trucks, transporting materials to and from various departments, and assisting with inventory management. Adherence to all company policies and procedures, particularly those related to forklift operation and general warehouse safety, is paramount. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Transport raw materials, finished products, and equipment throughout the facility.
- Perform daily inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance issues.
- Assist with inventory counts and maintain accurate records.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE at all times.
- Follow all logistics and distribution procedures.
- Participate in warehouse training programs to enhance skills.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Support team members in achieving daily operational goals.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator with a valid certification.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Ability to perform heavy Lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Excellent knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Familiarity with different types of forklifts and their operation.
- Good hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must wear required PPE, including safety shoes and reflective vests.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
