We are seeking a diligent and motivated Material Handler to join our dynamic logistics team in Orlando, Florida. As a Material Handler, you will play a crucial role in the efficient movement and organization of goods within our distribution center. Your responsibilities will include receiving, stocking, picking, and preparing orders for shipment. This is a fantastic opportunity to become an integral part of a fast-paced warehouse environment where attention to detail and a strong work ethic are highly valued. You will work closely with other team members to ensure that all products are handled with care and efficiency, contributing directly to the smooth operation of our supply chain. The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of warehouse operations and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workspace. We provide ongoing training and opportunities for growth within the company. Your contribution to our logistics network is essential. Safety protocols are paramount, and adherence to all guidelines is expected. Experience with manual lifting and basic inventory tasks is beneficial. Compliance with all company policies and procedures, including proper use of PPE, is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loading and unloading incoming and outgoing materials and products.
- Transporting materials to and from storage areas, production areas, or shipping docks.
- Scanning and accurately recording inventory levels.
- Assisting with inventory counts and cycle counts.
- Operating hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and procedures.
- Performing other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Ensuring the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assisting with shipping and receiving tasks as needed.
- Understanding and implementing efficient logistics practices.
- Demonstrating proficiency in safe lifting techniques.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting, often exceeding 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of inventory management principles.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to PPE guidelines.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
