Our Richmond, Virginia, distribution center is looking for energetic Distribution Center Associates to join our expanding logistics team. In this versatile role, you will perform a variety of tasks essential to the efficient operation of our warehouse, including receiving, stocking, picking, packing, and shipping of goods. The ideal candidate is a proactive team player committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will contribute directly to ensuring orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently, meeting customer demands. Responsibilities may include operating warehouse machinery, moving inventory, and preparing shipments. Safety is paramount; all associates must strictly adhere to company safety policies and utilize appropriate PPE. This role involves frequent physical activity, including standing, walking, and lifting items up to 50 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and stock incoming merchandise.
- Accurately pick and pack orders for shipment.
- Prepare goods for outbound logistics.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the warehouse floor.
- Follow all safety regulations and utilize required PPE diligently.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with stock rotation.
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily operational goals.
- Assist in training new associates on warehouse procedures.
- Handle physical demands including frequent lifting up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- Previous warehouse or distribution center experience is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate various warehouse equipment.
- Strong understanding of safety best practices and the use of PPE.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Basic math and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
