We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Forklift Operator to join our dynamic logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. As a Forklift Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your primary duties will include operating various types of forklifts, loading and unloading trucks, and staging products for shipment. This role is crucial to maintaining the flow of goods within our distribution center and ensuring timely order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of safe operation, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Compliance with all safety regulations and company policies is paramount. You will be expected to perform pre-operation checks on machinery and report any maintenance issues promptly. Collaboration with other warehouse staff, including inventory control and shipping personnel, is essential for seamless operations. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts (sit-down, stand-up, reach trucks) to move, pick, and stage products.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and trailers.
- Conduct daily inspections of forklift equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Adhere to all warehouse safety rules and regulations, including the use of required PPE.
- Maintain an organized and clean work area.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
- Meet productivity and quality standards.
- Perform other warehouse duties as assigned.
- Commitment to ongoing safety training and best practices in logistics.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator.
- Valid forklift certification (or ability to obtain).
- Experience with different types of forklifts is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and the correct use of PPE.
- Strong understanding of logistics and material handling principles.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
- Reliable and punctual attendance.
