We are looking for an organized and diligent Inventory Clerk to join our team in Raleigh, North Carolina. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, performing counts, and assisting with stock management to support our logistics operations. Your attention to detail will be key to ensuring the integrity of our warehouse inventory. This position offers a stable work environment and opportunities for learning within the logistics field.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and full physical inventories.
- Verify inventory levels against system records, identifying and investigating discrepancies.
- Assist in receiving and put-away processes, ensuring accurate data entry.
- Organize and maintain stockroom or warehouse locations for optimal efficiency.
- Monitor inventory for damage, obsolescence, or expiration dates.
- Prepare inventory reports as requested by management.
- Support shipping and receiving departments with inventory-related tasks.
- Ensure that all inventory handling practices comply with safety standards and regulations.
- Use of inventory management software and scanning equipment.
- Adhere to all company policies, including safety guidelines and the proper use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience as an Inventory Clerk, Warehouse Assistant, or in a similar logistics role is preferred.
- Proficiency with inventory management software and basic computer skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and counting.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Must be able to perform lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Understanding of basic warehouse and logistics principles.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and following PPE guidelines.
