We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Picker/Packer to join our dynamic team in Washington, D.C. This role is crucial to our logistics operations, ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled and prepared for shipment. As a Picker/Packer, you will be responsible for locating items within the warehouse, carefully picking them, and then packing them securely for transit. Attention to detail is paramount to minimize errors and ensure customer satisfaction. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. You will work closely with other warehouse staff and supervisors to maintain optimal workflow and uphold our high standards for quality and productivity. The ideal candidate will be reliable, have a strong work ethic, and be committed to workplace safety .
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick products from warehouse shelves based on order slips.
- Inspect products for damage before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, using appropriate packing materials.
- Label packages correctly for shipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the proper use of PPE .
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock put-away as needed.
- Demonstrate strong lifting capabilities, often involving items up to 50 lbs.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order pick tickets.
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems is advantageous.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform lifting tasks regularly.
- Commitment to adhering to all safety guidelines and wearing required PPE .
- Strong understanding of basic logistics principles.
- Reliable and punctual.
