Primary Responsibilities:
- Create and update data in Esri's ArcGIS platform
- Perform quality assurance and quality control (QAQC) on data products
- Create maps (hardcopy and web-based)
- Execute data requests with 3rd party contractors
- Updating County's municipal addressing and 9-1-1 map material
- Work closely with the GIS Coordinator and other staff in the development of enterprise datasets
- Preparation of mapping and reports for ongoing projects and special projects that are being undertaken by various Departments
- Ensure that Occupational Health and Safety practices and County of Perth policies and procedures are adhered to; wear any personal protective equipment required to ensure personal safety and report any known hazards and/or incidents in the workplace to the immediate Supervisor
- Other responsibilities as assigned
- Enrolled in a Geographic Information System (GIS) degree /diploma program at a University or Community College level
- Knowledge and hands-on experience with GIS databases and the Esri ArcGIS platform, including ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Enterprise, and related ArcGIS configurable apps such as Experience Builder and Survey123.
- A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a reliable vehicle, as travel is required
- Access to reliable internet access
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to interact with County staff
- Solid organizational and time management skills
- Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making ability
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
Hourly Rate: $18.73
