Join our growing team in San Antonio, Texas, as an Order Picker! This position is essential for ensuring that customer orders are accurately and efficiently assembled for shipment. As an Order Picker, you will be responsible for using pick lists or RF scanners to locate and retrieve products from warehouse shelves, ensuring the correct items and quantities are selected. Accuracy and speed are key to this role, directly impacting our customer satisfaction and the efficiency of our logistics operations. You will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to perform physically demanding tasks, including significant amounts of walking, bending, and Lifting. We are committed to maintaining a safe workplace, and all employees are required to follow established Safety guidelines, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Previous experience in order picking or warehouse picking is beneficial.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order sheets or RF scanner prompts.
- Verify product information and quantities to ensure order accuracy.
- Operate pallet jacks and other material handling equipment safely.
- Consolidate picked items and prepare them for the packing station.
- Maintain productivity standards and meet order fulfillment targets.
- Keep the picking areas clean, organized, and free of obstructions.
- Report any damaged items, shortages, or discrepancies immediately.
- Follow all company Safety regulations and procedures.
- Wear and utilize required PPE, especially during Lifting and maneuvering of goods.
- Contribute to the overall efficiency of the warehouse logistics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in order picking, warehouse work, or a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret pick lists and product labels.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods.
- Capability of Lifting up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Familiarity with Safety practices in a warehouse setting.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to follow instructions and adhere to Safety protocols, including PPE usage.
This role offers an hourly wage and the opportunity to work within a dynamic logistics environment.
