Seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our efficient logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement and organization of materials within our warehouse, ensuring smooth operations and timely fulfillment of orders. This is a physically demanding but rewarding position for individuals who enjoy an active work environment and contributing to a successful supply chain.
Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport materials to and from designated storage areas using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other equipment.
- Organize and stack materials in an orderly and safe manner.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock checks.
- Identify and report any damaged materials or equipment malfunctions.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to all warehouse safety standards.
- Follow all instructions for proper handling and storage of materials.
- Support logistics team members with various tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a material handler or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment is a plus.
- Must be capable of heavy lifting, including moving items weighing up to 60 lbs regularly.
- Ability to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics environment.
- Strict adherence to all safety protocols and the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
- A strong focus on safety is essential for success in this role.
