Our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania distribution center is seeking a dependable Material Handler to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse. This role is essential for managing the flow of goods, from receiving to staging for shipment. You will be responsible for handling, organizing, and moving materials efficiently and safely. Responsibilities:
- Receive, identify, and move materials throughout the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks and containers.
- Use forklifts, pallet jacks, and other equipment to transport materials.
- Stack and store materials in designated areas, ensuring stability and accessibility.
- Pick and stage materials for outgoing orders.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist in maintaining accurate stock levels.
- Ensure all work areas are clean, organized, and comply with Safety regulations.
- Use and maintain required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns immediately.
- Support other warehouse functions as needed to ensure operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Prior experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse environment is preferred. Must be capable of performing significant Lifting, up to 60 lbs. Familiarity with various warehouse equipment is essential. A strong understanding of warehouse logistics and inventory management practices is beneficial. Candidates must exhibit a strong commitment to Safety and follow all established procedures. Excellent physical stamina and manual dexterity are required. Good teamwork and communication skills are important.
