You will be responsible for inspecting incoming goods, preparing outgoing shipments, and maintaining meticulous records. Responsibilities:
- Receive, inspect, and document all incoming freight, verifying against packing slips and purchase orders.
- Sort and organize incoming inventory for efficient storage and distribution.
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking, packing, and labeling orders.
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Coordinate with carriers for pickup and delivery schedules.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs and update warehouse management systems.
- Ensure that all work areas are clean, organized, and free from hazards, adhering to all Safety guidelines.
- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Conduct cycle counts and assist with physical inventory as needed.
- Report any shipping discrepancies or damages immediately to supervisors.
Qualifications:
Experience in a shipping or receiving role is highly desirable. Ability to handle a variety of tasks, including significant Lifting of up to 50 lbs. Must possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics procedures is essential. A commitment to Safety and adherence to company protocols are mandatory. Proficiency with computer systems for tracking and record-keeping is a plus.
