We are seeking a reliable and energetic Material Handler to join our logistics operations in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. As a Material Handler, you will be essential to the smooth functioning of our warehouse, responsible for the efficient movement and organization of goods. Your tasks will include loading and unloading shipments, transporting materials using hand trucks and pallet jacks, stocking inventory, and preparing orders for dispatch. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will work as part of a team to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all warehouse activities. Adherence to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), is mandatory. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in the fast-paced logistics industry and grow with our company. Understanding basic logistics principles and effective material handling techniques is important. Occasional heavy lifting will be part of the role. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and other transport vehicles.
- Transport inventory to and from designated storage areas.
- Receive, identify, and accurately stock incoming goods.
- Pick and pack orders according to specifications.
- Operate hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Assist with inventory control measures, including cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Perform tasks involving significant lifting and physical exertion throughout the shift.
- Support efficient logistics operations by ensuring timely and accurate material movement.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, distribution, or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Basic knowledge of logistics and inventory management.
