We are seeking a meticulous Material Handler to join our logistics team in Omaha, Nebraska. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within our distribution center. Your key duties will include receiving and stocking inventory, picking and preparing orders, loading and unloading shipments, and ensuring that the warehouse environment remains clean and safe. The ideal candidate is physically fit, possesses strong attention to detail, and is committed to upholding operational standards. You will work collaboratively with other team members to ensure the smooth flow of goods through our logistics network. Safety is our top priority, and all employees must strictly adhere to safety procedures and properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This role offers a great opportunity to be part of a dynamic team in the logistics industry. Experience with manual lifting and basic warehouse equipment is advantageous. Key Responsibilities:
- Receive, unpack, and inspect incoming materials.
- Transport materials to and from storage areas using appropriate equipment.
- Accurately stock inventory on shelves and in designated locations.
- Pick, pack, and prepare customer orders for shipment.
- Load and unload trucks and containers efficiently.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment.
- Conduct inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Perform tasks that involve significant lifting and physical activity.
- Contribute to overall logistics efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform frequent and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs).
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent work ethic and reliability.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Familiarity with basic logistics and inventory control.
