We are seeking a reliable Material Handler to join our growing logistics team in Jacksonville, Florida. In this role, you will be instrumental in the daily operations of our warehouse, responsible for the movement, storage, and organization of materials and products. Your tasks will include loading and unloading shipments, transporting items using various equipment, stocking shelves, and ensuring the overall tidiness and safety of the warehouse. The ideal candidate is physically capable, detail-oriented, and dedicated to maintaining a productive work environment. You will work collaboratively with a team of warehouse professionals to ensure that all goods are handled with care and efficiency, contributing directly to our supply chain success. We emphasize safety above all else, so strict adherence to all safety protocols and the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is mandatory. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a dynamic logistics setting. Proficiency in manual lifting techniques and an understanding of warehouse flow are beneficial. Key Responsibilities:
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Receive, identify, and stock incoming inventory accurately.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment.
- Operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with cycle counts.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory PPE usage.
- Perform duties that involve significant lifting and physical exertion.
- Support efficient logistics operations through effective material handling.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or material handling role is preferred.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) consistently.
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices and the importance of PPE.
- Basic knowledge of inventory control and logistics.
- Reliable and punctual with a commitment to meeting deadlines.
