We are seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Control Specialist to manage inventory accuracy and integrity at our Miami, Florida warehouse. This crucial role involves maintaining precise records, conducting cycle counts, investigating discrepancies, and implementing strategies to optimize inventory levels. Your expertise will directly impact our logistics efficiency and ensure we have the right stock at the right time. A commitment to safety and meticulous record-keeping is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Maintain accurate inventory records in the warehouse management system (WMS).
- Implement and enforce inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor stock levels and identify slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Collaborate with warehouse operations teams to ensure proper stock rotation and storage.
- Track and manage the return of goods, ensuring accurate inventory updates.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements in inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and proper use of PPE.
- Assist with tasks involving moderate Lifting, up to 30 lbs, when necessary for inventory checks.
- Proven experience as an Inventory Control Specialist or in a similar inventory role.
- In-depth knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control techniques.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to wear required PPE.
- Experience with scanners and inventory tracking technology.
