Responsibilities:
- Safely operate forklifts (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach truck) to move materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks, trailers, and containers efficiently.
- Transport products to and from designated storage areas, production lines, and shipping/receiving docks.
- Stack and arrange materials properly to ensure stability and safety.
- Conduct pre-operation checks on forklift equipment and report any issues.
- Assist with inventory management, including put-away and retrieval of stock.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, adhering to all logistics procedures.
- Follow all safety protocols, including the mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Qualifications:
- Valid forklift operator certification and proven experience operating various types of forklifts.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment is required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Strong understanding of forklift safety procedures and warehouse logistics.
- Knowledge of and adherence to PPE requirements.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and spatial awareness.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Reliable and punctual.
