Responsibilities:
- Read pick tickets or use RF scanners to locate and retrieve items from warehouse storage.
- Verify the accuracy of picked items against order requirements.
- Pack items securely and efficiently, using appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage during transit.
- Label packages correctly for shipping, ensuring all information is legible.
- Transport picked and packed items to the shipping area.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation and immediate surrounding area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Assist with inventory cycle counts and stocktaking as directed.
- Report any damaged items, stock discrepancies, or safety hazards to a supervisor immediately.
- Apply safe lifting techniques when handling products of varying weights.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a picking, packing, or general warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally and stand for extended periods.
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced setting.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the importance of PPE.
- Team player with a positive attitude and willingness to assist colleagues.
- Basic computer literacy for using scanning devices.
