We are seeking a talented individual to join our company as a Business Intelligence Engineer. As part of our Business Intelligence team, you will develop embedded product solutions that transform healthcare data into actionable insights for over 10,000 Home Health, Hospice, and Skilled Nursing providers. This is a remote or hybrid position within the United States. Employees living within 75 miles of the Santa Barbara office are required to work in-person in the office every Wednesday. Duties and Responsibilities Build and maintain robust and scalable BI tools using Microsoft Reporting Services, Web-based dashboarding tools Develop infrastructure in both relational and multidimensional environments Develop tune and troubleshoot queries against large data stored in SQL Server with a focus on performance and scalability Collaborate with stakeholders and business analysts to understand requirements and formulate use cases Coordinate with Software Test Engineers on unit, integration, and regression testing using SHP's proprietary report testing framework Explore ways to improve existing products to increase ease-of-use, actionable insights and overall customer value Participate in a scrum team to scope, size, and execute stories in a collaborative fashion The position is remote with optional travel to Santa Barbara, CA one to two times per year Required Skills & Qualifications 5+ years of experience in the Microsoft Reporting Services 5+ years data wrangling and data analysis using SQL 5+ years using a source control management system such as Perforce, Git, TFS, SVN Experience with a formal SDLC process Microsoft SQL Server 2017 or later Experience developing dashboards with products such as PowerBI or Tableau Ability to perform analytics on structured and unstructured data Ability to independently monitor, troubleshoot, and tune performance of SQL Server queries and SSRS report executions Experience with large datasets (hundreds of millions of rows) Understand Unit, Functional, Performance, and Regression testing Excellent written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational skills Bachelor's degree in computer-related field Healthcare experience is a plus Pay $100,000. - $140,000. annual, depending upon experience.
