Experienced Carpet Installer

Overview
We are seeking a skilled Carpet Installer to join our construction and flooring team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in flooring installation, construction, and maintenance person skills, with the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a Hotel setting. Duties

• Measure and prepare spaces for carpet installation, ensuring precise fit and alignment
• Use hand tools and power tools to cut, lay, and secure carpet and padding materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, floor plans, and technical drawings to execute installations accurately
• Perform related tasks such as tile laying, carpentry, caulking, and minor repairs as needed
• Ensure proper surface preparation by cleaning, leveling, and repairing subfloors before installation
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards
• Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools and disposing of waste materials properly

Experience

• Prior experience in flooring installation or construction is preferred
• Familiarity with hand tools, tile laying, carpentry, and blueprint reading is highly desirable
• Hands-on maintenance person experience or related skills such as caulking and general repairs are advantageous
• Ability to operate construction equipment or related machinery is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards throughout all phases of installation

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Pay: $18.50-$27.00 per hour
