Join our dedicated logistics team in Minneapolis, Minnesota, as an Order Picker! We are seeking enthusiastic and detail-focused individuals to expertly fulfill customer orders. As an Order Picker, your primary function will be to accurately retrieve products from our warehouse shelves based on order specifications. This process involves efficiently navigating the warehouse, utilizing order forms or advanced scanning technology to identify and gather the correct items and quantities. Precision is key to ensuring customer satisfaction and maintaining the integrity of our inventory. After picking, you will meticulously stage the orders for the next stage in our logistics process—packing and shipping—while ensuring your work area remains tidy and organized. The ideal candidate possesses strong organizational skills, the physical stamina to perform demanding tasks, and a commitment to working safely and efficiently. Previous experience in a warehouse or order picking role is advantageous. A thorough understanding of safety protocols, including the mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe lifting techniques, is essential, as we are committed to providing a secure work environment for all. Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse inventory according to assigned orders.
- Use handheld scanners or pick lists to locate and retrieve products.
- Verify picked items and quantities against order details to ensure accuracy.
- Consolidate picked items and stage them appropriately for packing and shipment.
- Maintain an organized and clean work station and surrounding area.
- Participate in inventory checks and cycle counts as requested.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
- Collaborate with colleagues to meet daily picking and fulfillment targets.
- Communicate any order discrepancies or equipment issues to supervisors.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous warehouse or order picking experience is desirable.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
- Physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
- Comfortable with moderate to heavy lifting as required.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics is a plus.
- Strict adherence to safety regulations and use of required PPE.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Demonstrated reliability and a strong work ethic.
