We have an immediate opening for a skilled Forklift Operator in our large-scale logistics facility in Houston, Texas. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a key role in the safe and efficient movement of materials throughout the warehouse. Your responsibilities will include operating forklifts to load and unload trucks, move inventory to and from storage areas, and assist with order fulfillment. We require candidates with proven experience and a valid forklift certification. Safety is our utmost priority, and you will be expected to strictly adhere to all safety regulations and company policies. This position also involves some general warehouse duties, which may include lifting and manual handling. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, stack, load, and unload materials.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of forklift equipment and report any defects.
- Transport goods to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks, ensuring accuracy and care.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, free from obstructions.
- Adhere to all safety procedures, including proper lifting techniques and the use of PPE.
- Participate in inventory counts and assist with stock placement.
- Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure smooth operational flow.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to logistics and safety.
- Handle materials carefully to prevent damage to goods or equipment.
Qualifications:
- Valid Forklift Operator certification (e.g., OSHA-compliant).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse environment.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Thorough understanding of warehouse operations, safety procedures, and logistics.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Excellent spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to following all safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
