We are seeking skilled Forklift Operators to join our distribution center team in Huntsville, Alabama. This role is integral to our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient and safe movement of inventory within our facility. You will be responsible for operating various types of forklifts, maintaining inventory accuracy, and contributing to overall warehouse productivity. Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts to move, stock, retrieve, and transport materials within the warehouse.
- Load and unload trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Perform regular inspections of forklifts and report any maintenance needs or safety issues.
- Accurately track inventory movements using warehouse management systems.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work environment, ensuring clear aisles and workspaces.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including mandatory use of PPE.
- Collaborate with other warehouse associates and supervisors to meet operational goals.
- Participate in inventory counts and other warehouse support functions as needed.
- Ensure timely and accurate staging of goods for outgoing shipments.
- Contribute to a positive and productive team atmosphere within the logistics department.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Current forklift operator certification is mandatory.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Proficiency with various forklift models (e.g., sit-down, stand-up, reach).
- Strong knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and procedures.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and occasional lifting.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and attention to detail.
- Dependable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced logistics setting.
