We are looking for a motivated Order Picker to join our logistics team in Durham, North Carolina. In this essential role, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently retrieving items from our warehouse shelves to fulfill customer orders. Your attention to detail and speed will directly impact customer satisfaction and operational efficiency. You will work in a dynamic environment, utilizing RF scanners and other equipment to locate and pick products. Safety is paramount in our warehouse, and we provide all necessary training and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Responsibilities:
- Read order forms or use RF scanners to identify and locate products within the warehouse.
- Retrieve the correct items and quantities accurately from shelves and storage locations.
- Verify product information and expiration dates as needed.
- Transport picked items to the packing or shipping stations using carts or other equipment.
- Report any discrepancies or issues with inventory to a supervisor.
- Assist with maintaining the organization and cleanliness of picking areas.
- Adhere to all safety procedures and guidelines, including proper Lifting techniques.
- Participate in training sessions to improve picking efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure a safe work environment by following all established safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar warehouse role is preferred.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently.
- Basic understanding of warehouse operations and logistics is helpful.
- Commitment to following safety regulations and wearing required PPE.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a team-oriented attitude.
