Join our dynamic logistics team in Fort Worth, Texas, as a Material Handler! We are seeking individuals with experience in operating forklifts and other material handling equipment to ensure the efficient movement of goods within our warehouse. This role is critical for maintaining smooth operations, from receiving to shipping, and requires a strong commitment to safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment safely and efficiently to move, load, and unload materials.
- Transport raw materials, finished goods, and other materials to and from designated areas within the warehouse.
- Assist with receiving and put-away of incoming inventory, ensuring accuracy and proper storage.
- Stage materials for production or shipment, ensuring timely delivery to the correct locations.
- Conduct routine inspections of material handling equipment to ensure safety and proper functioning.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety regulations and housekeeping standards.
- Follow all company policies, including the mandatory use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Accurately record movement of materials and inventory data as required.
- Assist with inventory counts and other warehouse support tasks as needed.
- Adhere to safe lifting practices and assist with manual handling of materials when necessary.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or Forklift Operator, with valid certification where required.
- Proficiency in operating various types of forklifts and other warehouse equipment.
- Ability to lift and move items weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to material handling.
- Commitment to wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
