We are seeking a meticulous Receiving Clerk to join our logistics team in Austin, Texas. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for incoming goods, ensuring that all deliveries are accurately documented, inspected, and stored. Your attention to detail is critical to maintaining accurate inventory records and supporting the seamless flow of products through our warehouse. This position plays a vital role in our supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and unload incoming shipments from various carriers.
- Verify the accuracy of received goods against purchase orders and invoices.
- Inspect incoming products for damage or discrepancies.
- Document all received items accurately in the inventory management system.
- Label and stage goods for storage or further processing.
- Maintain a clean and organized receiving area.
- Communicate any discrepancies or issues to supervisors and relevant departments.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE, especially during unloading and handling.
- Support the overall logistics operations by ensuring an efficient receiving process.
- Be prepared for tasks involving lifting and moving of received goods.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, or warehouse operations is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
- Proficiency with basic computer skills and data entry.
- Ability to perform physical tasks, including standing, walking, and lifting.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
- Good organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain principles is a plus.
- Commitment to workplace safety and adherence to guidelines.
