Job Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Inventory Control Specialist for our Raleigh, North Carolina facility. This position is crucial for maintaining the accuracy, integrity, and efficiency of our warehouse inventory. As an Inventory Control Specialist, you will be responsible for implementing and overseeing inventory management procedures, conducting regular audits, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring optimal stock levels to support our logistics operations. Your analytical skills and attention to detail will be key to minimizing errors and maximizing warehouse productivity. This role requires a strong understanding of inventory best practices and a commitment to upholding safety standards.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop, refine, and implement inventory control policies and procedures.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and comprehensive physical inventories.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify root causes of discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
  • Manage stock rotation principles (e.g., FIFO) to minimize spoilage and obsolescence.
  • Oversee the receiving, put-away, and picking processes to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Collaborate with warehouse management and operations teams to ensure efficient inventory flow.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Ensure compliance with all company safety guidelines and promote a safety-conscious culture, including the proper use of PPE.
  • Generate regular reports on inventory accuracy, stock levels, and operational efficiency.
  • Train and mentor warehouse staff on inventory control best practices.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; further education or certifications in Supply Chain or Logistics preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in inventory control, warehouse management, or a related logistics field.
  • Proven experience with WMS software and inventory management tools.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks as needed, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in a warehouse environment and capable of standing/walking for extended periods.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse safety regulations and the critical importance of PPE.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
