Role Description: At Salesforce, we are searching for experienced backend software developers eager to make a significant impact through their code. We focus on writing high-quality, maintainable code that enhances product stability and eases our workflows. We embrace a hybrid work model and foster individual strengths, encouraging each team member to excel. Your Impact: Develop new, innovative components and frameworks for distributed filesystems, providing scalability and efficiency in an evolving technology landscape. Create high-quality, production-ready code utilized by millions on our cloud platform. Build efficient components and algorithms within a microservice multi-tenant SaaS cloud distributed filesystem environment. Conduct code reviews, mentor junior engineers, and offer technical guidance to the team. Required Skills: 10+ years of software development experience with mastery in programming languages such as Java and Python. Strong SQL skills and experience with both relational and non-relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Trino). Experience developing SaaS products on public cloud infrastructures like AWS, Azure, or GCP. Proven track record in designing and developing distributed systems at scale. Deep understanding of queuing, locking, scheduling, event-driven architecture, and workload distribution. Knowledge of software development best practices along with demonstrated leadership abilities. Preferred Skills: Experience with Big Data, Machine Learning, and S3. Hands-on experience with streaming technologies such as Kafka. Familiarity with Elastic Search. Proficiency in Terraform, Kubernetes, and Docker. In the United States, compensation will be determined based on factors such as location, job level, knowledge, skills, and experience. The typical base salary range for this position is $117,200 - $260,100 annually, with select cities offering a range of $141,200 - $285,800 annually. This range represents base salary only, excluding bonuses, equity, and benefits.
