Dispensing Optician Manager - Multi-site Independent Opticians Rugeley, West Midlands Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and motivated Dispensing Optician Manager to lead a busy, patient-focused optical practice in Rugeley. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and driving commercial performance. The successful candidate will combine strong clinical dispensing skills, ensuring high standards across customer service, team performance, and operational efficiency. Would suit either a current manager or a senior looking for the next step. Key Responsibilities Clinical & Patient Care Provide expert dispensing advice tailored to individual patient needs Ensure a high standard of patient care and satisfaction at all times Support clinical colleagues to deliver a seamless patient journey Maintain compliance with GOC standards, professional guidelines, and best practice Practice Management Oversee the daily operation of the practice, ensuring smooth and efficient workflows Ensure the practice environment is welcoming, professional, and well-presented Monitor KPIs and implement strategies to improve performance and profitability Team Leadership & Development Lead, motivate, and support the practice team Conduct training, coaching, and performance reviews Encourage a positive, collaborative, and patient-focused team culture Support recruitment and onboarding of new team members when required Commercial & Retail Performance Drive sales through excellent product knowledge and patient communication Ensure effective merchandising and frame presentation Manage stock ordering, rotation, and supplier relationships Identify opportunities to grow the business and enhance patient loyalty Skills & Experience GOC-registered Dispensing Optician (essential) Strong leadership and communication skills Commercially aware with a patient-first approach Confident in dispensing a wide range of lenses and frames Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities What's on Offer A leadership role within a well-established local practice Supportive working environment with a focus on quality care Opportunities for professional development and progression Competitive salary and benefits package (dependent on experience) @INDALEX
