*Job Summary*
We are seeking an experienced Principal Project Manager to lead and oversee complex projects across various departments. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring project delivery aligns with organisational goals, managing cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills to drive project success from inception to completion within a dynamic environment.
_*Our roles are only available if you hold a UK Security Clearance and are a sole UK National due to the secure nature of the project. You will need to hold a higher level clearance.*_
*Duties*
* Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple high-impact projects, ensuring they meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
* Supervise and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
* Gather and define project requirements by liaising with stakeholders to ensure clear understanding of objectives and deliverables.
* Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues affecting project timelines or quality, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
* Utilise project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, Jira, and Smartsheet to develop schedules, track progress, and report on project performance.
* Manage resources effectively across projects, including personnel, budgets, and tools like SharePoint, Confluence, Workday, and ServiceNow.
* Apply various project management methodologies including Waterfall, SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), and organisational standards like Project Server.
* Analyse data using SAS or other analytical tools to inform decision-making processes.
* Communicate project status clearly through presentations and reports to stakeholders at all levels.
* Ensure compliance with organisational policies on cost control, risk management, and quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
*Essential*
* Have an existing enhanced Developed Vetting (eDV) security clearance
* Strong organisational, leadership, communication and interpersonal skills being a team motivator capable of building strong relationships with peers, customers and suppliers at all levels.
* Demonstrable knowledge working within software development teams that diligently apply Scrum and Agile principles, practices, techniques and methodologies.
* Experienced in the principles of Project/Task based Management, Risk Management, MS Project, Programme Performance Reviews and Cost Account Management.
* Experience of managing multiple projects and programmes in a controlled environment, making best use of recognised methods, e.g. PRINCE2
* Sound knowledge of PMO disciplines and techniques.
* Able to lead and support problem solving of complex issues across functional boundaries, to summarise and identify key concerns and follow through with the development and execution of corrective action plans to resolve issues.
* Sound judgement skills, understanding when to own and brief and when to escalate.
* Able to rapidly assimilate information, culture and process

Pay: £45,000.00-£80,000.00 per year
