Keyera is currently seeking a Business Development Representative to join the Gathering & Processing (G&P) Business Development Team in the Calgary office. This role provides commercial leadership to the asset teams requiring an interdisciplinary approach and good understanding of the industry. This is achieved by building relationships with our customers to manage both their existing G&P contracts and development plans, along with providing customer forward solutions to changes, growth, inquires, all while collaborating with the Operations and Engineering teams.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support projects and initiatives by assessing and verifying strategic fit, commercial drivers, and financial returns. The role also leads the life cycle of development projects from initiation to execution through appropriate project management tools.
- Provide strategic analysis to support development of new commercial solutions across a wide asset base.
- Support the ongoing business and execution of new and existing Gas Handling Agreements working with our customers, partners, and stakeholders.
- Understand and nurture long-term relationships with customers and partners built on trust and integrity and leverage that into new business.
- Prepare, review, and negotiate joint venture and midstream service agreements, and other contracts necessary to achieve the goals of the asset and the business unit.
- Asset forecasting, budgets, and variance management, bringing analytical skills and presentation skills together for results.
- Work collaboratively with other Business Development, Operations, Marketing, and Strategy teams to provide creative and competitive midstream solutions for our customers.
QUALIFICATIONS
The successful candidate will be organized, energetic, and driven to maximize our Gathering and Processing business with the following qualifications:
- Degree in Engineering and/or Business, with 5 to 10 years of energy related experience.
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, and organization skills.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks in a timely and organized manner with an attention for detail and a focus on teamwork.
- Strong analytical skills, combined with strategic thinking and creativity.
- You value collaboration and diversity of thought.
- Experience in all or some of the following areas: facility and gas plant operations, customer relationship management, contract negotiations, project development/management, financial analysis and economics, joint interest and acquisitions, business development, corporate development, analytics, Engineering, asset development, and midstream services.
