We are seeking a meticulous and organized Shipping Clerk to join our dynamic logistics team in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is crucial for ensuring the timely and accurate dispatch of goods to our valued customers. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining efficient warehouse operations. You will be responsible for preparing shipping labels, verifying order accuracy, and coordinating with carriers to schedule pickups. This position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Your contributions will directly impact our supply chain efficiency and customer satisfaction. Experience with shipping software and a understanding of logistics best practices are highly desirable. We are committed to providing a safe and productive work environment, and all employees are required to adhere to safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE. This role involves frequent Lifting of packages up to 50 lbs.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately prepare and process shipping documentation, including labels and manifests.
- Verify contents of outgoing shipments against packing lists and customer orders.
- Coordinate with freight carriers for timely pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain organized shipping areas and ensure proper handling of all goods.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external partners.
- Track shipments and provide updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the use of required PPE.
- Assist with other warehouse duties as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping or logistics preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems and shipping software.
- Ability to perform frequent Lifting of packages.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Commitment to Safety in all aspects of the job.
