Job Summary:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Inventory Control Specialist to join our operations in Phoenix, Arizona. This role is essential for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our inventory, directly impacting our logistics efficiency. Your responsibilities will include performing regular cycle counts, investigating and resolving discrepancies, conducting stocktakes, and ensuring that our Warehouse Management System (WMS) accurately reflects our physical stock. You will collaborate with warehouse teams to identify root causes of inventory issues and implement corrective actions. A sharp eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work independently are crucial for success. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of inventory management principles and best practices within a high-volume distribution environment. Proficiency with WMS software and scanning technology is required. We emphasize a strong commitment to safety, requiring adherence to all safety regulations, including the correct use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe lifting practices. Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily cycle counts and physical inventory checks.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies with accuracy and speed.
  • Maintain precise inventory records in the WMS.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends and potential issues.
  • Implement process improvements to enhance inventory accuracy and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with warehouse associates to ensure proper stock rotation and placement.
  • Prepare and submit regular inventory reports to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all warehouse safety procedures, including PPE usage.
  • Assist in training new team members on inventory procedures.
  • Handle lifting and moving of inventory items as necessary.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent; further education or certifications in logistics or supply chain management a plus. Previous experience in inventory control is essential. Demonstrable ability to analyze data and solve problems effectively. Expertise in using WMS and RF scanning tools. Ability to perform lifting up to 40 pounds. Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Knowledge of warehouse operations and logistics is required. A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic warehouse environment.
