Our Dallas, Texas facility is seeking a dedicated Material Handler to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for the movement of materials throughout the warehouse, ensuring that operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will handle incoming and outgoing shipments, stock materials, and support various production and fulfillment activities. This position is crucial for maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and requires a strong commitment to Safety and efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment to move inventory.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers.
- Receive, identify, and store incoming materials in designated warehouse locations.
- Transport materials to and from production areas, packing stations, or shipping docks.
- Maintain accurate inventory records by scanning items and updating the system.
- Ensure that all materials are handled in accordance with Safety procedures and company policies.
- Properly use required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure operational readiness and report any issues.
- Must be able to perform frequent and heavy Lifting, up to 75 lbs.
- Support efficient logistics operations by ensuring timely movement of goods.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid forklift operator certification is required (or ability to obtain).
- Previous experience as a Material Handler or in a similar warehouse role.
- Proficiency in operating various types of material handling equipment.
- Knowledge of warehouse Safety regulations and procedures.
- Ability to read and interpret shipping documents and inventory labels.
- Strong physical stamina and ability to perform manual labor, including frequent Lifting.
- Team player with good communication skills.
- Reliable and punctual.
