We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Picker/Packers to join our dynamic team in Houston, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately picking items for customer orders and efficiently packing them for shipment. This is a critical position within our logistics operations, ensuring our customers receive their orders correctly and on time. You will work closely with other warehouse staff to maintain a smooth workflow and contribute to the overall success of our distribution center.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately pick items from warehouse shelves according to order tickets using RF scanners or pick lists.
- Inspect picked items for damage or defects before packing.
- Pack items securely and efficiently into appropriate shipping containers, using protective materials as needed.
- Label packages accurately with shipping information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Meet daily picking and packing quotas while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as needed.
- Must be able to handle continuous Lifting of up to 50 lbs.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or order fulfillment environment is a plus.
- Ability to read and understand order tickets and item descriptions.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Basic math skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must be reliable and punctual.
- Understanding of warehouse safety practices.
- Commitment to following Safety guidelines.
