We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Worker to join our dynamic logistics team in Chicago, Illinois. This role is crucial for the efficient operation of our warehouse, ensuring that goods are handled, stored, and dispatched accurately and on time. As a Warehouse Worker, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including receiving and processing incoming stock and materials, picking and filling orders from stock, packing and shipping orders, and managing inventory. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will be paramount in this position. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, possess a strong work ethic, and are comfortable with physical demands. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, so the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively is essential. Training will be provided on specific warehouse procedures and equipment, but prior experience in a warehouse setting is a plus. Safety is our top priority; all employees are required to adhere to strict safety protocols and utilize provided Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. This role involves significant Lifting and manual handling of goods, so a good level of physical fitness is required.
Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and shelve supplies and products.
- Inspect shipments for damage or discrepancies and report issues immediately.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in designated areas.
- Accurately pick orders based on pick lists or electronic scanners.
- Pack items securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation.
- Assist with inventory counts and audits.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely, as trained.
- Adhere to all company policies and safety regulations, including the proper use of PPE.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve daily operational goals.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of warehouse operations and logistics. Experience with inventory management systems is beneficial.
