Join our dynamic logistics team in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, as an Order Picker! This crucial role involves accurately and efficiently selecting items from our warehouse inventory to fulfill customer orders. You will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers receive the correct products in a timely manner. Utilizing advanced scanning technology and following detailed pick lists, you'll navigate our warehouse to gather order items. Safety is our top priority, and we provide thorough training, including proper Lifting techniques, and all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills within the booming logistics sector and contribute to a company dedicated to operational excellence. You'll work collaboratively with other team members to achieve daily picking targets and maintain a high level of productivity.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and understand customer orders or pick lists.
- Locate and retrieve specified items from warehouse shelves and storage areas using RF scanners.
- Ensure the accuracy of picked items and quantities against order requirements.
- Verify product details, batch numbers, or expiration dates as necessary.
- Transport picked goods to designated consolidation, packing, or shipping stations.
- Report any inventory discrepancies, damages, or missing items to a supervisor immediately.
- Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of your assigned picking zones.
- Adhere strictly to all established safety rules and procedures, including the use of PPE.
- Participate in ongoing training to enhance picking speed and accuracy.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience as an Order Picker or in a similar warehouse role is highly desirable.
- Must be physically capable of standing, walking, bending, and stooping for extended periods.
- Ability to consistently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and basic logistics principles is a plus.
- A strong commitment to safety and the correct use of PPE is mandatory.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a drive for accuracy.
- Ability to perform tasks efficiently in a fast-paced work environment.
- Good communication skills and a positive team attitude.
