Our growing logistics company in Detroit, Michigan, is looking for a meticulous Inventory Control Specialist to join our team. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage all aspects of inventory control within the warehouse.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts and physical inventories to verify stock levels.
  • Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies, identifying root causes.
  • Implement and enforce inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Monitor inventory accuracy using WMS (Warehouse Management System) and other tools.
  • Ensure proper storage and organization of goods to prevent damage and obsolescence.
  • Collaborate with receiving, shipping, and operations teams to maintain data integrity.
  • Report on inventory status, including stock levels, turns, and valuation.
  • Ensure adherence to Safety regulations, including proper handling of materials and use of PPE.
  • Support logistics operations by providing accurate inventory data.
  • Tasks may involve some Lifting, up to 30 lbs, during audits or physical checks.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in inventory control or warehouse management.
  • Proficiency in WMS software and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Understanding of logistics principles and warehouse operations.
  • Knowledge of Safety procedures related to inventory handling.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
