We are seeking an experienced Material Handler for our bustling logistics center in Sacramento, California. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement, storage, and organization of materials within the warehouse. Your duties will include receiving and inspecting incoming goods, relocating inventory to designated storage areas, picking and preparing orders for dispatch, and loading outbound shipments. A strong understanding of warehouse operations and material handling equipment is essential. We prioritize a safe working environment, and all employees must adhere to safety regulations and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). This position requires physical fitness, including the ability to perform frequent lifting of items weighing up to 60 lbs. Responsibilities:
- Receive, unload, and inspect incoming materials.
- Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts (if certified), pallet jacks, and dollies.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations.
- Pick and prepare materials for outgoing shipments.
- Load and unload trucks efficiently and safely.
- Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and work areas.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and the mandatory use of PPE.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a Material Handler in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Ability to perform lifting tasks up to 60 lbs.
- Proficiency in operating material handling equipment is required. Forklift certification is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of warehouse safety procedures and proper PPE usage.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
